International Labor Organization Adopts Sweeping New Charter for Maritime Sector

The International Labor Organization adopted a comprehensive new labor standard for the world's maritime sector. The Maritime Labor Convention, which was adopted at the 94th International Labor Conference (Maritime), contains a seafarers' "bill of rights" and will apply to most commercial ships.
